Vet for the Homeless
At Highfields Vet Surgery, we believe in extending our care beyond our clinic's walls and into the heart of our community. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newest initiative, "Vet for the Homeless." This program aims to provide essential veterinary services and support to those experiencing homelessness in the Toowoomba Region. We will be launching our initiative on Monday 7th August at the Base Services Homelessness Expo from 11am-1pm.
Empowering the Homeless and Their Pets:
Homelessness can be an incredibly challenging and isolating experience. However, for many individuals, their furry companions provide a source of comfort, protection, companionship, and unconditional love. Understanding the deep bond between people and their pets, we saw an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
Through "Vet for the Homeless," our dedicated team of veterinarians and staff is reaching out to the homeless population to offer vital veterinary care for their beloved pets. By addressing the health and well-being of these animals, we're not only helping the pets but also providing comfort and support to their owners during difficult times.
Our initiative would not be possible without the support of local organizations as well as the generous brands we work who have provided valuable resources that we are able to share with our community. Working together, we can uplift the spirits of both people and their furry friends, fostering a sense of unity within the community.
